Research Field
The research field primarily focuses on the development of Resource Circulation, Circular Economy, Extractive Metallurgy, Green Innovation, and Net-Zero Emissions techniques using waste. In the past, waste treatment was mainly about stabilization or reduction. However, waste is viewed as a reusable resource now, and waste treatment methods will gradually shift towards a circular economy mindset to enhance the internal and external recycling capabilities of production technologies in the future.
In addition to element recycling from waste, high-value techniques will be used to directly convert waste into usable materials, achieving the goal of resource reutilization. The elements separated and recycled from waste can also be applied to various industries through high-value techniques, enhancing the economic efficiency of resource circulation.
Carbon capture and utilization (Net-Zero Emissions technique) will be implemented directly from waste (such as brine, fly ash, bottom ash, etc.) or using elements/materials recycled from waste. This will enhance the application value of each element/material while directly contributing to Net-Zero Emissions.
