The Department is the best choice for young students with interests and ambitions in resource development and utilization, mineral science, and resource recovery. The department, which can award bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees, has developed a complete higher education and research system. We have trained many senior researchers in resource development and utilization.
NCKU Resource
History
The Department was formerly known as the "Department of Electrochemistry", and later expanded to the "Department of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering" in 1953. In 1974, the Department of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering was divided into two departments, of which the "Department of Mining and Petroleum Engineering" was the Department. In order to meet the needs of the times, the Department was renamed the "Department of Resource Engineering" in 1992
